Scott Shedek has a diverse work experience in the field of construction and engineering. Scott is currently serving as the Vice President of Construction at the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority, overseeing the construction activities of both the Orlando International and Executive Airports since 2023. Prior to this role, Scott served as the Director of Construction and Senior Project Manager at the same organization from 2021 to 2023 and from 2016 to 2021, respectively.

Before joining the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority, Scott worked as an Engineer at the Lee County Port Authority from 2010 to 2016. Scott started their career as an Engineer Intern at RWA, Inc in 2004, where they played a significant role in the design and permitting of various residential and commercial development projects, including water management systems and utility transmission mains.

Scott gained construction inspection and surveying experience as a COSTEP at INDIAN HEALTH SERVICE OEHE in 2003, where they also completed basic engineering design tasks. Scott further enhanced their construction inspection and surveying skills as a Summer Engineering Technician at the CITY OF MARION ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT in 2002.

Scott Shedek completed their Associate of Science degree in Engineering at Kirkwood Community College in 2001. In 2004, they obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Iowa State University.
