Tom Bell

Tom Bell is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in journalism and public information. Currently serving as the Director of Communications and Public Information Officer at the Greater Portland Council of Governments since November 2018, Tom has previously held notable positions such as Principal at The Wicked Creative Film Company, where short films were produced for social media advocacy campaigns, and Political Reporter for The Associated Press, covering the Maine Legislature. Tom’s journalism career began at the Anchorage Daily News as a News Reporter and continued at the Portland Press Herald, focusing on trade, transportation, and marine industries. Tom holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences from Clark University.
