Leah George Vanscott

Executive Vice President, Business Development & Strategy at Greater Rochester Enterprise

Leah George VanScott has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Leah began their career as an Associate Producer at WHEC-TV 10 NBC in 2001 before transitioning to a role as Producer/Anchor at WETM 18 News, Elmira in 2002. In 2003, they joined YNN Rochester Time Warner Cable as a Reporter/Videojournalist and later took on the role of Diversity & Inclusion Lead. Leah then moved to YNN Syracuse NY/Ithaca Bureau as a Reporter/Videojournalist.

Leah's career shifted towards business development and strategy when they joined Greater Rochester Enterprise in 2012. Leah held various positions within the organization, including International Trade Associate and Managing Director of Business Development & International Trade. Leah'sresponsibilities also included being the NYSERDA Regional Outreach Contractor and serving as the Global NY Work Team Co-Chair for the Finger Lakes Regional Economic Development Council. Leah progressed to Senior Vice President and later Executive Vice President of Business Development & Strategy at Greater Rochester Enterprise.

Throughout their career, Leah has demonstrated their ability to excel in different industries and roles, showcasing their adaptability and versatility.

Leah George VanScott pursued their education at St. John Fisher College, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree from 2009 to 2013. Prior to that, they attended SUNY Geneseo from 1998 to 2001, earning a BA in Communications/Business/PR.
