Rev Jason Borton is an experienced professional currently serving as the Director of Support Services, Director of Camping and Scoutreach, and District Executive at the Greater Tampa Bay Area Council since December 2015, overseeing operations for 30 units in Central and Eastern Pasco County. In addition, Borton is the Vice President of Venturers of Airth, collaborating with RJ Borton to develop a fantasy role-playing and board game. As the Founder of Break Thru Living from May 2006 to December 2018, Borton provided transformative coaching and techniques for clients. Previous roles include Director at the Pranic Healing Center of Tampa, where energy therapy and meditation were emphasized, and Vice President at Sunshine Learning Systems, managing e-Learning software operations. Earlier experience includes web development roles at the University of Minnesota and Periscope. Borton holds degrees from the University of Minnesota (MS, Materials Science and Engineering), Carleton College (BA, Chemistry), and is an ordained minister from the New Seminary of Interfaith Studies.

he Greater Tampa Bay Area Council is one of the local councils in western Florida chartered by the Boy Scouts of America. The Council encompasses nine counties and serves over 15,000 youth in 200+ Cub Scout packs, 192+ Scouts BSA, 35+ Venturing Crews, 5 Sea Scout Ships, and 26 Pathfinder Units. In addition to the Lewis Hill, III Service Center, located at 13228 N. Central Ave. in Tampa 33612, we maintain six camp properties: Camp Owen J. Brorein in Odessa, Camp Soule in Clearwater, Flaming Arrow Scout Reservation in Lake Wales, Sand Hill Scout Reservation in Brooksville and Camp Alafia along the Alafia River in Lithia. The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.
