Shaun Filippelli has extensive experience in business development, digital marketing, and sports management. Currently serving as the Manager of Business Development at the Greater Toronto Hockey League since December 2022, Shaun also operates as a Digital Marketing Consultant for Mr. Always Write since April 2015. Previous roles include Freelance Writer for The Hockey Writers and FanSided, Arena Manager for the City of Toronto, and Facility Coordinator for Lakeshore Arena Corporation. Shaun's background also includes sales and marketing positions with ROCKWOOL North America and Canlan Ice Sports, as well as community services with the City of Mississauga and the Town of Milton. Shaun holds a Specialized Honours BA in Kinesiology & Health Sciences from York University, completed in 2008, following an education at Philip Pocock Catholic Secondary School.

Founded in 1911, the Greater Toronto Hockey League is a non-profit organization and is the largest amateur minor hockey league in the World. There are over 40,000 participants registered annually in the GTHL. GTHL jurisdiction spans Toronto, North York, Scarborough, Vaughan, and Markham and includes players ranging from the ages of 4-20. The GTHL celebrated its 100th anniversary in the 2011-12 season.
