Barbara Vaz has extensive experience in supply chain management, currently serving as Assistant Manager Supply Chain at Greater Vancouver Food Bank since May 2022, where previous roles include Supply Chain Specialist and Supply Chain Assistant. Prior to this, Barbara worked as a Supply Chain Associate at Fastenal Canada from June 2021 to May 2022 and gained customer service experience as an Agente de reservas at Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre Hotel, a position that ended due to Covid-19. Barbara holds a Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Operations and Supply Chain Management from Kwantlen Polytechnic University and a Bachelor's degree in Tourism Management from Estácio.

Greater Vancouver Food Bank

A non-profit organization, our mission is to provide healthy food to those in need. The GVFB provides assistance to over 15,000 people monthly in Vancouver, Burnaby, New Westminster and the North Shore. 26% of our clients are children and 14% are seniors. The GVFB also provides food support to 140 community agencies throughout these communities, such as housing agencies, women and children’s shelters, transition houses and after-school programs, who in turn provide meals and snacks to thousands of people each week.
