James Luty

James Luty is an experienced professional in environmental management and data analysis, currently serving as Manager of Data and Monitoring at Greater Wellington Regional Council since July 2019. Previously held roles include Team Leader for Land, Ecology and Climate and Senior Environmental Protection Officer within the same organization. James has also worked as an Environment Expert and Asset Compliance Lead at OMV, and as a Planner at both Aurecon and Beca. James began career development as an Environmental Coordinator at The Kaipatiki Project, transitioning from a casual volunteer position to part-time employment. Academically, James holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Environmental Science from the University of Auckland and a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Management Studies from the University of Waikato.
