Kiri Mason

Kiri Mason is an experienced environmental monitoring professional currently serving as the Kaiāpiha Matua Taiao | Senior Environmental Monitoring Officer (Hydrology) at Greater Wellington Regional Council since November 2022. Previous roles include Research Technician in the Hydraulics Laboratory at Monash Department of Civil Engineering and Environmental Officer (Hydrology) at Otago Regional Council. Kiri has also held various positions such as Property and Business Census Surveyor at the City of Melbourne and Environmental Monitoring Officer at Northland Regional Council. In addition to professional experience, Kiri has demonstrated academic involvement as a Lab Demonstrator for geography students at the University of Otago. Kiri holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Science in Geography and Marine Science and a Bachelor of Science in Geography and Zoology, both from the University of Otago.
