Nathan Briggs

Nathan Briggs is an experienced engineering professional with a robust background in project and asset management within the rail and mechanical engineering sectors. Currently serving as the Manager of Rail Assets at Greater Wellington Regional Council since January 2024, Nathan previously held roles including Senior Project Manager at KiwiRail and MAINSTREAM ENGINEERING LIMITED. Nathan’s expertise encompasses leading mechanical engineering teams, financial management, and project delivery in complex environments, demonstrated through roles at Oji Fibre Solutions, YI Associates Ltd, and various prominent contracting positions with companies such as ConocoPhillips, and TAQA. Nathan holds a BEng Hons in Mechanical Design and Technology from Northumbria University and has a strong educational foundation in mechanical and manufacturing engineering.
