Richard Coles

Richard Coles is a seasoned engineering professional specializing in flood protection and water resources management. Currently serving as Senior Project Engineer for Flood Protection at Greater Wellington Regional Council since January 2018, Richard oversees the capital works components of the Otaki River and Waikanae River Floodplain Management Plans. Prior experience includes roles as Acting Capital Works Manager and Project Manager for Water and Wastewater at Far North District Council, along with project management of stormwater capital works at Auckland Council and Opus International Consultants. Richard holds a Master of Science in Water Resources and a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering, both from the University of Birmingham.
