Benjamin István Berta

Benjamin István Berta has experience as a Machine Learning Engineer at Greenhill, starting in November 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Sony from January 2021 to June 2021 as part of their Master Thesis Project. Starting in February 2019 and ending in September 2019, Benjamin served as a Research Intern at Bosch, where they gained practical experience in developing and training Deep Neural Networks using Pytorch. From May 2017 to August 2018, they were the Head of Driverless at BME Formula Racing Team, where they coordinated a team of 15 engineering students in designing and building a driverless race car, and they also supervised engineering solutions and developed key elements of the autonomous system such as SLAM, computer vision, and LiDAR perception. Additionally, Benjamin worked as an Intern at MTA SZTAKI from June 2017 to August 2017, where they developed and tested a semantic segmentation algorithm using deep learning, specifically on real-world urban drone data.

Benjamin István Berta pursued their education with a focus on autonomous systems. Benjamin István started their academic journey in 2015 at Budapest University of Technology and Economics, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering. Following this, they enrolled at Technische Universität Berlin in 2019 to pursue a Master's degree in Autonomous Systems. However, in 2020, they transferred to KTH Royal Institute of Technology to continue their Master's studies in the same field.
