Julia Craighill has extensive work experience in the field of sustainability and green consulting. Julia is the Founder of Green Office Academy, an online training platform that helps create environmentally-friendly workplaces. Prior to that, Julia served as the Chief Sustainability Officer at Green Business Bureau.
Julia is also the Founder and President of Ensight Consulting, a consulting firm specializing in sustainability for facility and property managers, building owners, government agencies, and educational institutions. Julia has worked with various clients in both the private and public sectors.
Before establishing their own consulting firm, Julia worked as a Senior Sustainability Consultant at Steven Winter Associates. In this role, they provided LEED and energy-efficiency coaching and consulting services to a wide range of organizations.
Julia's earlier experience includes working as the Director of Sustainability at Struever Bros. Eccles & Rouse, Inc., where they started the green building department and integrated sustainable practices into the company. Julia also worked as a Construction Project Manager for the same company, overseeing mid-size commercial and institutional projects.
Julia's career in architecture firms began as a Project Architect, Job Captain, and Intern, where they gained valuable experience in the design and construction industry.
Julia Craighill has a Master of Architecture (MArch) degree from Syracuse University. Julia also holds a Bachelor of Architecture (BA) degree from Washington University in St. Louis. Additionally, they attended the Academy of the Washington Ballet for high school. Julia Craighill has obtained several certifications including being a BREEAM In-Use USA Licensed Assessor from BREEAM USA in May 2017, LEED BD+C from the U.S. Green Building Council in 2002, and they are a Registered Architect since 1998.
