Darrin Griechen

VP of Products + Technology at Green Canopy NODE

Darrin Griechen has over 19 years of work experience in various roles within the architecture and engineering industries. Darrin is currently serving as the VP of Products + Technology at Green Canopy NODE since November 2021. Prior to this, they worked at NODE as the Product Development Director from October 2020 to November 2021.

From 2017 to 2020, Darrin worked at KATERRA in two different roles. Darrin first served as the Senior Engineering Manager, Advanced Assemblies from May 2019 to July 2020, and then became the Lead System Architect from December 2017 to May 2019.

Before joining KATERRA, Darrin was an Assistant Professor of Architecture at Washington State University from June 2008 to May 2018. Darrin'steaching focus areas included design studios, design theory, and the application of computational design and digital fabrication. Darrin also collaborated with the Composite Materials Engineering Center on various interdisciplinary projects.

Darrin started their career at ALSC Architects as a Design Architect from 2006 to 2008. Prior to that, they worked as an Urban Designer for the City of Spokane from 2003 to 2006, and as an Intern at Erstad Thornton Architects from 2002 to 2003.

Darrin Griechen completed their education with a Master's Degree in Architecture from the University of Idaho, which they obtained from 2001 to 2003. Prior to that, from 1999 to 2001, they also earned a Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy from the same university. Additionally, during that same period from 1999 to 2001, they completed another Bachelor's Degree, this time in Architecture, from the University of Idaho.
