Johan Vandebeek

Johan Vandebeek is currently serving as a Portfolio Impact Consultant at the Green Climate Fund since May 2024. Previously, Johan was a member of Harvard Innovation Labs, contributing to sustainable entrepreneurial ventures from April 2023 to May 2024, and served as Co-Chair of the ESG Leader Council at the American Chamber of Commerce in Thailand from January to July 2023, facilitating discussions on climate neutrality and inclusivity. As the Sustainability Director at Lexicon from June 2022 to July 2023, Johan established the sustainability communications department and led a team focused on impactful storytelling for organizations like GIZ and the World Bank. Prior consulting experience includes a role at NexantECA, where strategic decarbonization decisions were supported across South and Northeast Asia from June 2014 to June 2022. Johan's early career includes positions with the Prince Albert Fund and AppliTek, as well as project management at Eurowaste NV. Currently pursuing a Master of Liberal Arts in Sustainability and Environmental Management at Harvard University, Johan also holds advanced degrees in Economics from KU Leuven.
