Sean Hanafin is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in the finance and sustainability sectors. Currently serving as Chief Executive Officer at Silver Birch Finance since January 2021, Sean also holds roles as Non-Executive Chair of the European Advisory Board at New Energy Risk, Non-Executive Senior Advisor at the Green Finance Institute, Fellow at the Sustainable Markets Initiative, and Non-Executive Senior Advisor at the Climate Bonds Initiative. Previous positions include Lead Advisor for Strategic M&A Transaction in Private Equity, Head of Investment Grade Corporates at Greensill Capital, and European Head of Corporate Banking at Standard Chartered Bank. Sean's early career features a tenure as CEO of the Lulla Family Office and a member of the Advisory Commission for HM Treasury's UK Green Investment Bank. Educational credentials include a degree in Economics & Politics from the University of Warwick.
