George Cameron has extensive experience in engineering, primarily in electrical and controls systems across various sectors. Currently semi-retired, George works as an Operations and Maintenance Engineer at Green Highland Renewables Ltd since June 2012, combining roles in mechanical engineering and controls engineering. Prior to this, George held positions at LifeScan Scotland Ltd, including Staff Electrical Engineer responsible for electrical safety and project management, as well as roles focused on electrical and controls systems support. Additional experience includes Senior Maintenance Engineer and Controls and Automation Engineer positions at LifeScan Scotland, and Senior Electrical Engineer at Scottish Hydro Contracting. George's career began in 1976 as an apprentice at A I Welders, progressing to Machine Controls Team Leader. Academic qualifications include a Postgraduate Certificate in Instrumentation and Controls from Glasgow Caledonian University and multiple degrees from The Open University and City and Guilds.
