Dr. Jason Plourde is a highly experienced professional in the education field, having held various roles in the Council Bluffs Community School District for over two decades. Dr. Jason currently serves as the Chief Administrator at Green Hills AEA, bringing their expertise as the former Executive Director of Universal Services & Supports at the same organization. Dr. Plourde holds a Bachelor's degree and Doctorate in Elementary Education, Special Education, and Teaching & Leadership-Supervision from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, as well as a Master's degree and Endorsement in Supervision and Leadership and Talented & Gifted Education from Creighton University.

Green Hills AEA is one of 9 intermediate education agencies in the state of Iowa. Green Hills is located in the southwest corner of the state, with the main office located in Council Bluffs, and regional offices located in Avoca, Creston, Council Bluffs, Glenwood, Missouri Valley, Osceola, and Red Oak. Employees of the AEA provide educational services to administrators, teachers, students and parents in the 52 public and non-public school districts throughout the region. We employ school psychologists, speech-language pathologists, special education consultants, educational audiologists, early childhood consultants, along with teachers and subject-specific consultants serving in various capacities.
