Green Hills AEA
Michelle Custer has over 25 years of experience in the field of education, currently serving as a Special Education Consultant Behavior Specialist at Green Hills AEA since June 2005. Prior to this role, Michelle worked within the Omaha Public Schools system at various institutions, including Columbian Elementary, Spring Lake Elementary, Bryan Middle, Parrish Alternative, and Yates Alternative schools, from May 1986 to May 2005. Michelle holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Elementary Education and Teaching Special Education, as well as a Master's Degree in Behavior Disorders and Learning Disabilities, both earned from the University of Nebraska at Omaha between 1998 and 2001.

Green Hills AEA is one of 9 intermediate education agencies in the state of Iowa. Green Hills is located in the southwest corner of the state, with the main office located in Council Bluffs, and regional offices located in Avoca, Creston, Council Bluffs, Glenwood, Missouri Valley, Osceola, and Red Oak. Employees of the AEA provide educational services to administrators, teachers, students and parents in the 52 public and non-public school districts throughout the region. We employ school psychologists, speech-language pathologists, special education consultants, educational audiologists, early childhood consultants, along with teachers and subject-specific consultants serving in various capacities.
