David Hathaway

David Hathaway is an experienced professional with a diverse background in engineering and leadership. Currently serving as the Trails Management Committee Chair for the Green Mountain Club since June 2021 and as the Executive Director of the Vermont State Mathematics Coalition since July 2020, David has demonstrated a commitment to community and education. Prior to these roles, David retired from IBM after a long tenure as a Senior Technical Staff Member from 1981 to March 2014, and held a temporary instructor position at the University of Vermont, teaching upper-level undergraduate courses. David's academic credentials include an M.E. in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, as well as multiple degrees in Engineering Science and Physics from Dartmouth College.
