Matt Hutchinson

Matt Hutchinson is an experienced professional in the energy sector, currently serving as Manager of Smart Grid Innovation Programs at Avangrid since August 2024, focusing on energy storage projects in the NYSEG and RG&E service areas. Prior to this role, Hutchinson spent nearly nine years at NRG Energy in various managerial positions related to product development, where responsibilities included leading teams to create new electricity and gas plans, demand response programs, and community solar initiatives. Hutchinson has also contributed to businesses such as Lance Rental Company and EDP Renewables, developing analytics capabilities and managing asset performance for renewable projects.
