Samantha West is currently the Garden Portal Community Manager at Green Our Planet. Prior to this role, Samantha held positions as a Copywriter & Content Strategist at SamanthaWestStudio.com, Grant Administrator at the University of Connecticut, Grants and Fundraising Manager at Green Our Planet, Grant Writer, Fundraising and Marketing Coordinator, and School Garden Coordinator also at Green Our Planet. Samantha also worked as an Upper-division English Tutor at Utah Tech University and served as the College of Humanities and Social Sciences Senator. Samantha holds a Bachelor of Science degree in English (Professional and Technical Writing) and a minor in Art from Utah Tech University, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a 4.00 GPA.

With a mission to conserve and improve the environment GoP brings the worlds of nature, technology and education together to create alchemy! We provide 'know how' and infrastructure to rockstar teachers who want their students to learn about about science, nutrition, technology, and nature through building and tending their own outdoor and indoor gardens at school! We know that when students in PreK-12th grade schools learn about STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math), they absorb and engage better by doing! Green Our Planet (GoP) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit conservation organization that runs the largest and one of the most comprehensive school garden programs in the United States.
