Giacomo Vicenzo

Giacomo Vicenzo has a diverse work experience in journalism and content production. Giacomo started their career as a reporter at UOL - Universo Online in September 2022. Giacomo then became a contributing journalist at MIT Technology Review Brazil in 2021, where they wrote a cover story on the history of medicine and science. Giacomo also worked as a journalist and content producer at Green Park Content since June 2019. Giacomo collaborated with CNN Brasil as a contributing journalist starting in October 2021. In addition, Giacomo worked as a freelancer for The Guardian, where they investigated the lack of internet access in the outskirts of São Paulo. Giacomo was also a reporter for Agência Mural de Jornalismo das Periferias from July 2018 to December 2021. Giacomo has contributed to The Intercept Brasil and Énois News Agency, conducting a year-long investigation on the functioning of tutelary councils. Giacomo has also worked as a freelance journalist for Revista Galileu, publishing an extensive report on aging. Giacomo started their career as a redactor freelancer for Mercado Jovem and then worked as a journalist/social media at daybook from April 2015 to January 2018.

Giacomo Vicenzo earned a Bachelor's degree in Journalism (Bacharel em jornalismo) from Universidade São Judas Tadeu in the years 2013-2016. In October 2017, they obtained a certification in Data Journalism with SQL from Abraji - Associação Brasileira de Jornalismo Investigativo.
