Dhawal Dhonde (DD)

Dhawal Dhonde has extensive work experience in the biofuels and energy industry. Dhawal started their career at Aurora Algae, Inc in 2011 as a Process Operator, where they operated the production system and handled chemicals. Dhawal quickly progressed to the role of Process Engineer/Lead, where they optimized water systems and identified ways to increase productivity. Dhawal then became an Operations Manager, responsible for safety, reliability, quality, and cost of the production system.

In 2014, Dhawal transitioned to the role of Site Manager at Aurora Algae, Inc, where they managed various departments and led the technical and design team. Dhawal was in charge of the entire site operations, including cultivation, harvesting, R&D, and maintenance. Dhawal ensured safety, reliability, quality, and cost efficiency of the production system.

In 2015, Dhawal joined Sapphire Energy Inc. as a Site Manager, similar to their previous role. Dhawal managed procurement, harvesting operations, maintenance, and engineering. Dhawal also coordinated with contractors for improvement projects. Dhawal monitored safety, reliability, quality, and production costs.

Most recently, Dhawal became the Director of Operations at Green Plains Inc. in 2021. Their responsibilities in this role include overseeing all operational activities and ensuring their smooth execution.

Throughout their career, Dhawal Dhonde has consistently demonstrated their expertise in operations management, technical optimization, and maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

Dhawal Dhonde (DD) completed their Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Chemical Engineering from Savitribai Phule Pune University between 2003 and 2006. Dhawal then pursued a Master of Chemical Engineering (Adv) with a specialization in Energy and Combustion at The University of Adelaide from 2007 to 2009.
