Scott Clausen

Scott Clausen has a diverse and extensive work experience in the tax field. Scott is currently working as a Tax Manager at Green Plains Inc. since June 2021. Prior to this, Scott held the position of Tax Director at Ameritas from September 2018 to October 2021.

Scott also served as a Tax Director at West Corporation from November 2015 to August 2018, where they were responsible for Federal and State Income Compliance, Audit, and Planning, as well as State & Local Sales and Use Tax Audits.

Before joining West Corporation, Scott worked as a State and Local Tax Manager at Dr Pepper Snapple Group from May 2013 to November 2015. Scott also gained valuable experience as a Tax Manager at McGladrey from April 2012 to December 2012, where they reviewed state tax returns, developed state income tax positions, and assisted clients with obtaining state tax incentives.

Prior to that, Scott held the position of Finance Director at ConAgra Foods from November 2005 to February 2012. In this role, they managed federal income return consolidation and preparation, state income tax compliance, and developed positions for state income tax returns.

Scott's early career includes working as a Tax Manager at Deloitte & Touche from 1999 to 2005. In this role, they reviewed federal and state income tax returns for various entities and managed large multi-national partnership's IRC 704(c) depreciation and 704(b) basis. Scott also assisted clients with state income and sales/use tax audits.

Scott Clausen obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting and Business/Management from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. In addition, they received certification as a Certified Public Accountant from the Nebraska Board of Accountancy in October 1991.
