Harley Walsh has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Starting in 1991, they served as an Officer in the United States Marine Corps until 1995. Following that, they worked as a Vice President at Lehman Brothers from 1997 to 2001. In 2002, they joined the United States Senate as the Legislative Director for Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison until 2006. Harley then transitioned to the role of Chief Operating Officer at Vivum Group, a company specializing in software development for the commercial real estate sector, from 2006 to 2009. In 2008, they became the Chief Financial Officer at Green Source Holdings. Currently, since 2015, they work at Octavo Systems as the President, where they design and sells semiconductor chips for the IoT industry.

Harley Walsh attended The Lawrenceville School from 1982 to 1986. In 1986, they enrolled in Eton College for a year. Later, from 1987 to 1991, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics at Washington and Lee University. Finally, from 1995 to 1997, Harley attended the University of Virginia Darden School of Business, where they obtained their MBA.
