Roger McClendon is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in sustainability and engineering management. Currently serving as the Executive Director of the Green Sports Alliance since January 2019, McClendon also holds the position of Chief Sustainability Officer at Yum! Brands, where responsibilities include the development and implementation of global engineering and sustainability initiatives, setting the company apart in the green restaurant sector. With a tenure at Yum! Brands that began in 1996, McClendon progressed through various roles, including Senior Director of Global Engineering and Facilities, overseeing compliance and quality standards across several well-known brands. Earlier experiences include managerial positions at Champion International Paper and an engineering cooperative internship at Chiquita. McClendon earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer and Electrical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati.
