Pierre Delpech is a seasoned professional in microbiology and bioprocess development, currently serving as Chef de projet R&D Bioprocédés at Green Spot Technologies since July 2020. Pierre's previous experience includes a role as Assistant Temporaire d'Enseignement et Recherche at Université Clermont Auvergne, where responsibilities involved directing practical work in chemistry, enzymology, and biochemistry, as well as managing student tutoring. A postdoctoral researcher at Glasgow Caledonian University, Pierre studied the effects of tedizolid on staphylococcal infections. Green Spot Technologies (GST) is leveraging solid state fermentation and upcycling to reinvent food ingredient solutions. 1/ Ferment'Up cocoa ingredients alternative solution range of powders for reducing cost and environmental footprint at once 2/ Ferment'Up tomato to sauce manufacturer for decreasing cost and optimising texture in their recipe with 100% of the tomato The company was initially founded in New Zealand following the PhD thesis of Dr. Ninna Granucci. In 2018, after a successful fundraising round, the company relocated to France, where both the country and the European Union provide ideal conditions for its growth. Currently, the team comprises over 23 members with expertise spanning microbiology, biochemistry, food science, process engineering, and business development. Green Spot commercial team is located in Toulouse and the production facility of the ingredients is at the industrial demonstrator in Carpentras. On top both commercial and industrial teams are supported by our formulation and biotech team in Toulouse. The company collaborates closely with French, European, and international research organizations, industrial partners, side stream suppliers, analytical labs, and public entities.
