Chris Hummel has a diverse and extensive work experience in various leadership roles. Chris is currently the President of Green Thread, a B2B practice under Horizon Media, where they design and implements data-driven commercial strategies to drive revenue growth. Prior to that, they served as a Strategic Advisor at TalentSky and an Advisory Board Member at SoldierStrong.

In 2020, Chris was the Managing Director of The Revenue Enablement Institute, which was later acquired by Horizon Media. Chris was responsible for promoting growth and technology strategies, emphasizing the importance of collaboration across sales, marketing, and services.

Before joining Green Thread, Chris worked as the SVP and Chief Marketing Officer at United Rentals, where they played a vital role in introducing digital services and connected equipment to the company. Chris also served as the CMO-in-residence at Eastwick, helping technology companies with growth strategies and digital marketing efforts.

Chris held leadership positions at Schneider Electric, Unify, SAP, and Oracle. At Schneider Electric, they served as the EVP and Global Chief Marketing Officer, leading thought leadership initiatives and rebranding the company. At Unify, Chris took on the challenge of turning around a declining market leader through innovation and restructuring. During their time at SAP and Oracle, they held various executive roles, overseeing marketing strategies on a global scale.

Chris Hummel earned a BA in International Relations from Tufts University in 1990. From 1991 to 1993, they attended The Fletcher School at Tufts University, obtaining a Master's degree in International Business. In 1988 and 1989, they participated in an Honors Program at Durham University, focusing on Politics and Russian Language. Chris later pursued further education at London Business School from 2000 to 2002, where they completed the Global Business Senior Leadership Consortium program with a specialization in International Business.
