Associate Endpoint Engineer at Green Thumb Industries

Marco Orozco has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Marco started their career in 2001 as a Customer Service Associate at Bank One (now JP Morgan Chase Bank), where they provided assistance to clients and ensured compliance with company and regulatory guidelines. In 2003, they transitioned to HSBC as a Mortgage Underwriter, utilizing their skills to assess loan applications.

In 2009, Marco entered the field of education as a Learning Resource Center Assistant at Aurora East School District 131. Marco quickly advanced to become a Certified Teacher, specializing in Sheltered/Bilingual education. Marco'sresponsibilities included lesson planning, integrating technology into the classroom, collaborating with peers and specialists, and collecting and analyzing academic and behavioral data. Marco also gained experience as a Certified Summer School Teacher, Teacher Aide, and Guest Teacher.

In 2021, Marco joined Cities in Schools Aurora 2000, Inc as an On-Site Coordinator, contributing to the organization's efforts to support students in need. Most recently, in 2023, they became an Associate Endpoint Engineer at Green Thumb Industries (GTI), where they likely focuses on managing and maintaining endpoint devices.

Throughout their career, Marco has demonstrated adaptability, strong communication skills, and a genuine passion for education and customer service.

Marco Orozco began their education by earning an Associate's Degree in Hospitality from Triton College from 1992 to 1995. Marco continued their education at Triton College and obtained another Associate's Degree, this time in Business, from 1995 to 1997. Marco then attended Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts in International Economics and International Political Science from 1997 to 2000.

After a break from education, Marco resumed their studies at Aurora University from 2009 to 2011, where they earned a Master of Arts degree in Primary (Elementary) School Teaching for grades K-5.

In 2012, Marco enrolled at the University of St. Francis, where they completed a program to obtain endorsements in Bilingual Education and ESL Education, specifically for teaching English as a Second or Foreign Language. Marco successfully completed this program and earned the endorsements in August 2013.

In addition to their formal education, Marco also obtained a certification in Bilingual Education from the University of St. Francis in August 2013.
