Sophia Simon is a Technical Expert in the International Team at GreenCollar since August 2022, where responsibilities include managing and implementing projects focused on ecosystem conservation, forest restoration, and sustainable agriculture. Previously, Sophia was a Senior Ecosystem Services Analyst at Winrock International, contributing to global technical analyses on carbon emissions in the AFOLU sector, developing tools for clients, and managing sustainability projects. Past roles include internships and positions at the FAO, International Center for Migration Health and Development, and The Wistar Institute, where experience encompassed data analysis, research protocols, and policy recommendations related to environmental impacts. Sophia holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and International Development from the University of Pennsylvania, supplemented by a study abroad program in Tropical Ecology and Conservation in Costa Rica.
