Emma Chen-Banas

Emma Chen-Banas serves as a Commissioner for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Asian American & Pacific Islanders Commission since April 2024, appointed by Attorney General Andrea Joy Campbell. In addition, Emma is a Member of the Board of Trustees at The Bement School and the Honorary Chairwoman of the Massachusetts Chapter of the American Chinese United Association. Emma holds the position of Corporator at Greenfield Savings Bank and serves as the United Nations Representative & Chief Administrative Officer for the Changier Education Foundation. Previously, Emma spent over a decade at MassMutual, where roles included Assistant Vice President in the Enterprise Technology Group and direct reporting to the Board Director of MassMutual International. Prior to MassMutual, Emma's career included significant positions at Honeywell, GE, Acer, and Sara Lee, with a focus on IT leadership across various regions. Educational credentials include an MBA from the University of South Australia, a Master of Science in Technology Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and a program at Harvard Business School.
