Joel Fournier

Joel Fournier has extensive work experience in the forest products industry. Joel is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of GreenFirst Forest Products since November 2023. Prior to this role, they worked as an Experienced Executive from July 2023 to November 2023.

Previously, they held various positions at Western Forest Products, including Vice President, Manufacturing Coastal Operation from January 2020 to June 2023, and Vice President, Canadian Operation from August 2019 to January 2020.

Before joining Western Forest Products, Joel Fournier worked as the Chief Operations Officer at Sinclar Group Forest Products Ltd. from July 2017 to August 2019.

Joel also has significant experience at J.D. Irving, Limited, where they served as the Director of Optimization and New Product Development from May 2015 to July 2017. Later, in 2011, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Administration et gestion des affaires, général from Université de Moncton. Additionally, Joel received training in process improvement and earned a Black Belt in six sigma from the Juran Institute.
