Melissa Burton Parry

Melissa Burton Parry is a skilled costume designer and technician with extensive experience in the performing arts sector. Since January 2017, Melissa has worked as a dresser for Opera North and has been involved with Greenhead College since November 2016, focusing on designing and realizing costumes in collaboration with students. At the Northern School of Contemporary Dance, Melissa has designed costumes for both professional choreographers and student showcases, including recent contributions to the dance company Verve's quadruple bill. Previous roles include working as a costumer for Secret Cinema and as a casual dresser for the live musical Thriller Live! Melissa holds a Bachelor's degree in Costume with Performance Design from Arts University Bournemouth, where formal training was received in costume creation.
