Eleni Koulourioti, LL.M. has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Eleni is currently working as the European Legal and Compliance Director at Greenhill & Co. since October 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Lecturer in AML Regulatory Compliance at Frankfurt School of Finance & Management starting from September 2020.

Eleni has a significant tenure at Deutsche Bank where they held various positions including Regional Head AFC Framework Germany & EMEA - Senior Legal Counsel Business Line AFC (BLAFC) AML, AFC Senior Legal Counsel, AFC Germany & EMEA Head Regulatory Governance & Enforcement, AFC Cluster Head Europe, Anti-Financial Crime - Regional Co-ordinator EMEA, Anti-Financial Crime - Regional Co-ordinator Europe, and Anti-Money Laundering & Anti-Financial Crime - Regional Co-ordinator Germany & Western Europe.

Before joining Deutsche Bank, Eleni worked at MainFirst Bank AG as the Group Compliance/AML/Financial Crime Officer and Legal Counsel. Eleni also served as a Senior Management Consultant and Legal Counsel Lending at ABN AMRO Bank N.V., and as a Compliance Officer Merchant Banking, Global Compliance Officer Corporate Finance & Capital Markets, and Head Legal & Compliance/MLRO/AFC/Data Protection at Fortis Bank.

In addition to their banking industry experience, Eleni has worked in private practice as a Legal Counsel to start-ups in California, USA. Eleni also has prior experience at PwC as a Rechtsanwältin (German Attorney), at Schürmann & Partner Law Firm as a Foreign Associate (EU Lawyer), and at Dr Mouchtaris & Partners Law Firm as a Dikigoros (Greek Attorney).

Eleni Koulourioti, LL.M. has an extensive education history in the field of law. Eleni obtained a Law Degree from Ethnikon kai Kapodistriakon Panepistimion Athinon from 1989 to 1994. Eleni furthered their studies and acquired an LL.M. from Goethe University Frankfurt from 1997 to 1999.

Eleni also pursued additional qualifications, such as the Greek Bar Exam and Qualification as a Greek Attorney (Dikigoros) from Athens Bar Association in 1996 and the German Bar Exam and Qualification as a German Attorney (Rechtsanwältin) from the German Bar Association in 2000.
