Charles Brom

Charles Brom has a diverse work experience in the field of information security. Charles currently holds the position of an Information Security Engineer III at Greenhouse Software since May 2022. Prior to this, they worked at PEAK6 from August 2019 to April 2022, where they served as an Information Security Analyst and later as an Information Security Specialist. At PEAK6, Charles implemented the first Vendor Risk Management process and created a secure hardened OS image for MacOS Big Sur. Charles also automated Firewall audit tasks and designed Security Awareness training programs. Before joining PEAK6, Charles worked as an ATLAS System Technician at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from January 2016 to April 2019. In this role, they coordinated and replaced a large virtual machine environment and conducted hardware and software maintenance on enterprise-class machines.

Charles Brom attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 2015 to 2019, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science. In addition to their formal education, Charles has also obtained several certifications, including the Microsoft 365 Certified: Security Administrator Associate from Microsoft in May 2021, as well as the CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+) and CompTIA Security+ certifications from CompTIA in January 2021.
