Declan Kelly has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Declan began their career as a Pro Shop Assistant at Hermitage Golf Club in 2014, where they handled day-to-day queries, managed timesheets for club members, and processed custom orders. In 2016, they joined Halpenny Golf as a Retail Salesperson and later took on the role of Supervisor, demonstrating their ability to learn about the industry, handle sales, and maintain working rotas. From 2019 to 2021, Declan worked at ESB, focusing on HR Operations in the Learning & Development area. Declan served as the SAP System Administrator and support lead for performance management processes, while also being involved in project design, implementation, training, and support. Currently, they are employed at Greenhouse Software, where they have progressed from a Customer Support Specialist to the Senior Support Specialist role. In their current position, they take on a wide range of responsibilities, such as serving as the first point of contact for customer support, diagnosing and resolving issues, and sharing information with appropriate teams to improve processes.

Declan Kelly's education history begins with their completion of a Leaving Certificate in General Studies from Lucan Community College, spanning from 2009 to 2016. Following this, they attended Technological University Dublin for a year in 2016, studying General Engineering. Declan then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Business Marketing at Maynooth University, starting in 2017 and ending in 2021.

In addition to their formal education, Declan has obtained several certifications in Microsoft Excel Advanced, Microsoft Powerpoint Advanced, and Microsoft Outlook Advanced. These certifications were obtained from OLAS IT, with Microsoft Outlook Advanced being acquired in December 2019, and both Microsoft Excel Advanced and Microsoft Powerpoint Advanced being obtained in February 2020.
