Rob Hill has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Rob started their career as a Server at Landry's Restaurants in 2010. Rob then worked as a Research and Teaching Assistant at Vanderbilt University, conducting original field research in the ethnomusicology of marginalized groups in Lesotho, Africa. Following this, they served as a National Account Manager at Access America Transport, a third-party logistics company.

In 2014, Rob attended gSchool, a full-stack development program with a focus on Ruby, where they gained skills in Ruby on Rails, Javascript, CSS3, HTML5, and more. Rob also worked as an Application Developer and Scrum Master at Colorado Access/AccessCare Technologies, building the Aveo tele-health platform.

Rob later joined Pivotal Labs as a Software Engineer in 2015, where they worked until 2019. During their time there, they honed their software engineering skills. From 2019 to 2020, Rob worked as a Software Engineering Manager at Pivotal Software, Inc. and Pivotal Cloud Foundry. In 2019, they transitioned to VMware Tanzu, where they held the position of Software Engineering Manager.

In 2022, Rob joined Greenhouse Software as a Senior Software Engineering Manager. Throughout their career, Rob has demonstrated a passion for software development, engineering management, and continuous learning.

Rob Hill attended Jefferson County International Baccalaureate School from 2004 to 2008, where they completed their International Baccalaureate. Rob then went on to study at Vanderbilt University from 2008 to 2012, earning a Bachelor of Music degree with a focus on Music Performance, General.
