Ashok Sharma

Ashok Sharma is the current Chief Financial Officer at Greenlam Laminates. Ashok has previously served as the Sr. Vice President of Finance at Greenply Industries Ltd from August 2002 to October 2010, where they were responsible for a variety of financial functions including fund raising, treasury, investor relations, accounts & commercial, compliance, costing & MIS, administration & procurement.

Sharma has made substantial improvements in the accounting, MIS, risk management, and commercial functions of 2 factories and 32 branches in India, as well as 2 overseas subsidiaries. Ashok has also handled fund raising for various projects by way of rupee and foreign currency loans, such as ECB, ECA, and working capital limits & short term funds.

In addition, Sharma has designed systems to control foreign currency risk exposure and to track and utilize maximum license value for imports. Ashok has also been involved in the new laminate project from conceptualization to implementation, and has handled SAP implementation.

Sharma has effectively handled two income tax search operations and one central excise search operation. Ashok has also significantly contributed in leading the two CDM projects of the company which will generate revenue of Rs. 3.50 p.a. for next 6 years.

Ashok Sharma is a Chartered Accountant from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. Ashok has also completed their B.Com from Umesh Chandra College, Kolkata in the field of Commerce.
