Jessica Piacentino

Business Operations Associate at Greenleaf Center for Servant Leadership

Jessica Piacentino is a freshman student attending Seton Hall University as an Art, Design, & Interactive Multimedia major with a concentration in Graphic Design. Jessica has been competitively selected to be in the Buccino Leadership Institute, and is currently a part of the cohort for Communication and the Arts. She is also the Business Operations Associate of the Greenleaf Center for Servant Leadership at Seton Hall University.

Before attending Seton Hall University, Jessica has had an immense amount of experience in leadership in her home town of Wood-Ridge, New Jersey and throughout her career at Wood-Ridge High School. Jessica has been a member of the Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey and has earned her Silver Award within the program. She was a part of the National Honors Society, where she actively served her school and community through volunteer services and other events. Jessica has also held many other leadership positions within her school, including the Senior Editor of the yearbook and captain of the cheerleading team. These positions enabled Jessica to strengthen her leadership skills and prepared her for her new experiences in leadership that she has found here at Seton Hall.

Before working at the Greenleaf Center for Servant Leadership, Jessica has had four years of past work experience from being a Camp Counselor at her home town’s Summer Camp program. During this position, Jessica has been a role model and leader for younger children within her community. She took on many great responsibilities while prioritizing their well-being, happiness, and safety. Jessica has now found a new opportunity in working at the Greenleaf Center, where she has learned about many pillars and aspects of servant-leadership. As the Business Operations Associate, she is responsible for fulfilling orders of various titles by Robert K. Greenleaf, the founder of the modern servant leadership movement. She also designs website banners, social media posts, and other graphics for the Greenleaf Center. This has granted her the opportunity to exercise her skills within Graphic Design and enhance her portfolio.

Jessica has now been granted the privilege to be a part of Seton Hall’s Buccino Leadership Program, which was one of the main reasons why she chose to attend the university. This program has given Jessica the opportunity to make connections and learn from the experiences of other leaders. It has allowed her to step into the professional world and has demonstrated the various opportunities that are open to her within her field of study. She strongly values the rigorous and rewarding challenges that the institute has to offer because it will ultimately prepare for her career and future as a whole. Jessica hopes to gain more valuable leadership skills, especially within the arts, in order to pursue her passion of becoming a Creative Director.
