James Hanson

James Hanson is an experienced communications professional currently serving as the Head of Communications & Engagement and Global Media Lead for the Protect the Oceans initiative at Greenpeace since May 2022. James has held various roles at Greenpeace UK since September 2019, including Press and Communications Officer, and previously worked as a Senior Media Officer at Diabetes UK and Communications Officer for Re-engage. James started at Greenpeace as a Local Media Intern and has experience as a Trainee Fundraising Officer at the National Churches Trust and a Marketing Intern at Mace. Academically, James holds an MA in Ancient History and Ancient Middle Eastern Studies and a BA in Ancient History and Egyptology, both from UCL.
