Karen Buxton

Karen Buxton serves as the Head Triathlon Coach and Associate Athletic Director at Greensboro College since November 2021, also holding the title of Head Women's Triathlon Coach. As the owner of CoachBuxton.com since January 2003, Karen specializes in coaching endurance athletes of various levels online. Previously, Karen was the Head Swim Coach at Ridgewood Swim and Tennis Club for 11 years, teaching youth ages 5 to 18, and has experience as an Adjunct Professor at Salem College, teaching Sport Management. Karen founded the field hockey program at Greensboro Day School, serving as Head Coach from 1998 to 2011, and has held coaching positions in basketball and soccer at the collegiate level. Educationally, Karen holds a Master of Education in Athletic Administration/Sport Management from Temple University and a Bachelor of Science in Allied Health Sciences from Johnson State College.
