Tour & Volunteer Coordinator at Greensboro History Museum

Alyson Witte is a knowledgeable professional in the field of education and museum studies, currently serving as a Volunteer Coordinator and Education Specialist at the Greensboro History Museum since June 2023. Previously, Alyson held the position of Guest Services Coordinator at the Nido & Mariana Qubein Children's Museum, where responsibilities included developing social media strategies and expertise in the Altru database system. Experience also includes teaching Social Studies for 7th graders at AACPS, where lesson plans aligned with state standards, and serving as an educator and programs instructor at various institutions, including the Maryland Science Center and Historic Ships of Baltimore. Alyson earned a Master of Arts in Public History from Appalachian State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and Archaeology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, supplemented by study at the University of Leicester.
