Waqas Mahmud

Waqas Mahmud is an accomplished IT professional with extensive experience in technology support services and digital transformation. Currently serving as an IT Consultant for GreenShield since August 2025, Waqas leads the technical strategy for digital employee experience while fostering partnerships with executive leadership to enhance technology integration. Previously, Waqas held roles such as Senior Manager at Aviso Wealth, overseeing IT support and vendor management, and Senior Manager at Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan, where responsibilities included managing IT services and ensuring compliance across Canada and the US. With a strong background in project management and customer relationship management, Waqas has consistently driven improvements in service delivery and customer satisfaction throughout a career that began in 2003 with Tangerine. Waqas holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Information Technology from Toronto Metropolitan University and a College Diploma in Business Computer Systems from Seneca Polytechnic.
