As the Chief Technology Officer of GreenSky, Mr. Vastani has responsibility for strategic planning, development, IT operating practices, information security, and IT organizational design. Prior to joining GreenSky, Mr. Vastani was the Chief Technology Officer leading product development, technology vision, engineering, security, infrastructure and operations of Kava (formerly Kaneva). Prior to Kava, he was the founding executive and General Manager of Asurion’s Atlanta Development Center responsible for building a model center of software delivery excellence delivering a high quality, multi-tenancy claims and fraud management platform for Asurion’s Asia-Pacific markets. At Asurion, Mr. Vastani also led an innovative risk and fraud management platform team that delivered a modern and scalable platform for advanced risk management services. Leading up to Asurion, he served as SVP, Research and Development at Nextgen Healthcare (NASDAQ: QSII) where he led the development of an electronic health records management platform for integrated ambulatory and hospital delivery network market. Prior to joining Nextgen, he joined Cbeyond (NASDAQ: CBEY, acquired by Birch in 2014) shortly after its inception and for over 11 years contributed to the company’s evolution from a startup to a thriving publicly traded entity providing telecommunications and cloud services to small and medium businesses.

Mr. Vastani graduated with BS and MS degrees in Computer Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. In 2019 he was appointed on the Board of the Georgia Technology Authority which oversees a $280M technology budget for the State of Georgia and its 1,300 agencies. Mr. Vastani is also a founding Board Member and the current President of ATLCTO, an organization that engages product and technology leaders from across the metro Atlanta region.
