Burnet D. Brown

Burnet D. Brown has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Burnet D. is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of GreenTech Motors Corporation since March 2019. Prior to this, they held the position of Executive Vice President at the same company from August 2014 to February 2019. Burnet D. also served as the Vice President of Marketing and at GreenTech Motors Corporation from July 2011 to August 2014.

Before their tenure at GreenTech Motors, Burnet worked at RNV Ventures as a Principal. Burnet D.'sroles there included specialization in analysis, strategy development, program management, marketing, and accelerating commercialization and market penetration of green tech, cleantech, green building, and sustainable technologies and best practices. Burnet D. worked with Fortune 500 companies, contributing to the development and direction of marketing strategies. Burnet D.'stenure at RNV Ventures lasted from 1996 to March 2019.

Burnet was also involved with Green2Gold and Inventors Workshop International, where they served on the Board of Advisors from 1998 to 2010.

Prior to their positions in the green tech sector, Burnet worked as the Vice President of Strategy Development & Analysis at Marketing & Financial Management. There, they acted as an account supervisor, working with accounts such as Saturn, Pepsi-Cola, 3M, Mitsubishi Motors, Ford, Reebok, and K2. Burnet D. developed segmented marketing strategies to target niche consumer groups. Burnet held this role from February 1986 to 1996.

In addition to their professional experience, Burnet has also undertaken various physically demanding challenges. Burnet D. embarked on a 2,700-mile long-distance backpacking journey along the Continental Divide Rocky Mountain Range from May to October 1992. In 1981, they completed a 2,600-mile-long-distance backpacking trip through the desert and atop the High Sierra and Cascade mountain ranges along the Pacific Crest Trail.

Burnet's earlier career involved working at ITT Antarctic Services in Antarctica from October 1984 to October 1985. Burnet D. served as a powerplant technician at McMurdo Station during the Austral winter and worked on a construction crew at the Amundsen Scott South Pole Station during the Austral summer.

Prior to their Antarctic experience, Burnet worked at the California Energy Commission as a Financial Analyst and Policy Analyst from September 1981 to October 1984. Burnet D. was involved in technology evaluation and helped develop recommendations to CEC policymakers regarding funding for renewable energy, energy efficiency, and fossil fuel technologies. Burnet also authored a report during their time at the California Energy Commission.

Earlier in their career, Burnet served as an Expert Witness at the Utah Attorney General's Office in 1982 and worked as an Analyst at the California Public Utilities Commission from January 1981 to April 1981.

Burnet D. Brown started their education at Thousand Oaks High School, although the specific dates were not provided. After completing high school, they attended Moorpark College from 1971 to 1973, focusing on history, science, debate, public speaking, and writing. Burnet D. then transferred to UCLA from 1974 to 1976, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Political Science with a secondary field of study in Environmental Science & Policy. Finally, from 1978 to 1980, Brown attended the University of California, Berkeley, where they obtained a Masters degree in Energy & Resources.
