Burke Royster has extensive experience in educational leadership, currently serving as Superintendent for Greenville County Schools since July 2005, following a tenure as Deputy Superintendent. Prior positions include Assistant Superintendent at The School District of Oconee County SC from July 1999 to July 2005, Principal at Seneca High School from July 1994 to June 1999, and Principal at Waccamaw High School from December 1989 to June 1994. Burke Royster began an educational career as Assistant Principal at Northwestern High School from August 1985 to December 1989. Educational credentials include a BA and MED +30 from Clemson University and a PhD in Educational Leadership and Administration from the University of South Carolina.
