Matthew Hayes

Matthew Hayes currently serves as the Head of Development and Origination at Greenvolt Group, a position held since November 2022. Previously, Matthew was the Head of Project Development at EDP Renewables from January 2022 to November 2022, and prior to that, held the role of Senior Business Development Manager at EQUANS UK & Ireland and ENGIE, where the focus was on renewables and energy infrastructure. Matthew's career began in planning roles, including Planning Officer at Oldham Metropolitan Borough Council and various senior planning consultant positions. Education includes a Master’s Degree in Town Planning from The University of Manchester and a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science and Geography from the University of Bradford.
