Andy Gannon attended Hemel Hempstead School from 1982 to 1989, where they did not pursue any specific degree or field of study. After completing their secondary education, they enrolled at Jesus College, Cambridge in 1989 and graduated in 1993 with a First Class BA (Hons) degree in Modern and Mediaeval Languages. Following this, they pursued further education at the University of Bristol from 1993 to 1994, obtaining a Post Graduate Certificate in Education with a focus on Modern Languages.
