Andy Gannon

Andy Gannon has extensive work experience in various roles related to corporate affairs, policy, research, and education. Recently, they have been serving as the Corporate Affairs Director at Greenwood Academies Trust since April 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the Director of Corporate Affairs at Academy Transformation Trust from May 2019 to April 2022. Andy also held the position of Director at Gannon and Watts Ltd from November 2015 to May 2019. Additionally, Andy has experience in management and skills development, having served as the Executive Manager (Employment and Skills) (Interim) at Greater Birmingham and Solihull Local Enterprise Partnership from March 2017 to March 2018. Before that, they worked as the Director of Policy, PR, and Research at The 157 Group from January 2011 to October 2015. Earlier in their career, they held various roles such as Governor at Chesterton Primary School, Head of Student Support/Tutorial Coordinator at City College Southampton, Communications Officer at Hampshire County Council, Press Officer at City College Southampton, and Head of Modern Languages at Langley Grammar School.

Andy Gannon attended Hemel Hempstead School from 1982 to 1989, where they did not pursue any specific degree or field of study. After completing their secondary education, they enrolled at Jesus College, Cambridge in 1989 and graduated in 1993 with a First Class BA (Hons) degree in Modern and Mediaeval Languages. Following this, they pursued further education at the University of Bristol from 1993 to 1994, obtaining a Post Graduate Certificate in Education with a focus on Modern Languages.
