Brian J. McGuirk

Brian J. McGuirk is the current Director at Greenwood Credit Union. Brian has also previously worked as the Head of Information Technology at the Rhode Island Department of Business Regulation (DBR) from November 2018 to November 2021, and as a Project Manager at the State of Rhode Island from March 2015 to November 2018.

At the State of Rhode Island, Brian was in charge of leading a team of 11 State Employees and 55+ contractors in an Agile environment. Brian was also responsible for using lean practices to double average team output between March 2015 and March 2016, as well as eliminating inefficiencies and rework in development workflows. Furthermore, they successfully led system infrastructure design with the contractor team, and overhauled automation infrastructure to increase reliability and transparency, while decreasing maintenance complexity.

In their role at the Rhode Island Department of Business Regulation (DBR), Brian was tasked with writing technical requirements, negotiating contracts, and implementing a Medical Marijuana Seed-to-Sale Tracking system. Brian was also the technical advisor and evaluator for State enterprise systems acquisition, including for a Learning Management System, Content Management System, Grants Management System, and Case Management System. Brian was additionally the technical lead for an Enterprise Grants Management System based on Salesforce platform, and devised an automated integration to State Oracle ERP system.

Brian J. McGuirk's educational career consists of a type AB field in International Relations from Brown University, Delhi University, and the University of Sydney. Brian also has a type High School degree from LaSalle Academy.
