Giel Ten Haaf

Giel ten Haaf has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Giel started their career as the VP Finance and Management Information Systems at AIESEC The Netherlands. Giel then joined DSM and held various roles including Business Controller for DSM Agro and Finance Manager of DSM Venturing. At DSM, they led the implementation of a portfolio management tool and played a key role in navigating the 2008 financial crisis. Giel also worked at Nutreco as a Financial Analyst and Controller, where they were involved in strategy formulation and business integration during a merger. Giel later joined FrieslandCampina, where they served as the Finance Director for different divisions and successfully led major business transformation projects. Currently, Giel is working as the Finance and ICT Director for the Bakker Division at Greenyard, where they oversee financial operations for a fast-growing strategic partner of a major retailer in Europe and the US.

Giel ten Haaf has a diverse education history, which includes a range of programs and degrees. In 1997, they obtained their Msc. degree from Wageningen University & Research. Later, in 2002 to 2004, they pursued an Executive Master of Finance and Control from Maastricht University. Continuing their education, they attended IMD in 2008 to 2009, completing a program called "Building on Talent" in the field of General Management. In 2010, Giel attended IMD again for a course on "Comprehensive Business Fundamentals", also in General Management. In 2012, they completed the "Program for Executive Development" at IMD. Giel'smost recent educational achievement is obtaining an Executive Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from IMD in 2018.
